I made this lot for the Old Hollywood creators contest at MTS2 =) I would have furnished the upper floors as well but I just got myself a puppy and I can't get time on the pc without having to reach over Genghis Scruffulous ;) *Please see special shopping lists below*

Back, way back in 1919 this mansion was originally built in Beverley Hills as a hunting lodge. In the early 1930's silent film stars Mary Pickford and Douglas Fairbanks married, bought the mansion, had it remodelled and renamed it Pickfair. It became *the* place to be with the stars of the time gathering and partying on the luxurious grounds and consequently earned the title of Hollywood's Camelot. Pickfair in its current incarnation sports a whopping 15 bedrooms - this is not practical in TS2 so I have used my artistic license to try and keep the lot playable. There weren't a great deal of photos from the era either soooo I basically made some up as I went along ;) The mansion is decorated throughout in a bastardised-by-Loverat Art Deco style using whatever I could get my hands on that would recolour appropriately (I think 79 reco's & 7 clones I made). Yorshmx had recently made these beautiful floors and walls so I was very lucky. Kitchens in the 1920's and up finally became more than just a workroom and were finally being decorated along with the rest of the house. Whatever - the decorating is always an organic thing for me with each room growing around one piece - for example the dining room grew around Buggyboozs' Willow Sideboard and a pic I had of some art deco styled glass, the living room from the beautiful rug by Sim Habitations and the kitchen around the Wood for Sims range hood =)
