Rinky-Dink is built from a genuine Australian MidCentury house plan circa 1960 and has all the *must have* features of the time including an atrium style walkway between the living and sleeping areas of the house, open plan living and low-care gardens. There are two bedrooms, with the master having direct access to the bathroom through a walk in robe. The second bedroom has built in robes. The stunning living area is focused around a free-standing fireplace and has room for dining, bar area and lounge/tv. The kitchen is built in a galley style and has all the mod cons including dishwasher, trashcompactor, modern stove and rangehood. The house is furnished in keeping with mid century design ideals. I have used the same blonde wood throughout the house and furnishings and was worried it would be too much. However, it seems to work ok with the light and bright palette of colours I chose. The garden ideas came from various midcentury modern homes around the world and adhere to the *less is more* principle using rock, concrete and manicured lawn. The backyard feature is the conversation pit centred around a flat outdoor fireplace and swimming pool with edging. Almost forgot, there is also a small laundry and WC off the living area which has access to the side yard.
The furnished version is, well, completely furnished. The unfurnished version comes with all architectural elements, walls, floors and landscaping. I did around 95 new recolours for this lot. I am so tragic!
